Our History

Mobirise

Bible Baptist Christian Academy was founded in 1979 as a mission of Bible Baptist Church, serving students from kindergarten to grade twelve.

Servicing Statesboro and surrounding communities for over forty years, the school has evolved tremendously from its beginning, growing both physically as well as academically.

Highlights of our growth include:

  • ACCREDITATION with the Georgia Association of Christian Schools
  • ADDING a full-day three and four year-old preschool program
  • PROVIDING an after school program for PK3-5th grade students
  • EXPANDING to include a nursery through two year-old program
  • LICENSING our day care and after care program through Georgia Bright from the Start
  • BECOMING a designated school with the U.S.'s Student and Exchange Visitor Program, allowing international students
  • PARTNERING with Georgia GOAL and Arete Scholarships to offer financial aid options
  • ENLARGING our campus with the D complex
  • BEING recognized as an NCAA-eligible school

A sampling of the higher learning institutions where our graduates have continued their educations include: University of Florida, Florida State University, Trinity Baptist College, Liberty University, Pensacola Christian College, Georgia Southern University, Georgia State University, and Ogeechee Tech.

Many of our alumni serve in community service roles, such as spiritual ministry, first responders, and business owners.

Our past administrators were Harley McDonald, Dennis Bright, Manford Gilbert, Jean Livingston, Jon Edmisten, Judy Williams, and Seth Conner. Lori Morris is currently our school principal.
